What is a Tap Tempo and BPM Finder?
BPM stands for “Beats Per Minute.” It defines the exact tempo or speed of a song.
A Tap Tempo tool is the easiest way to measure this speed. You just listen to a song and tap a button on every main beat. The tool counts the time between your taps and calculates the exact speed for you automatically.
What is a Song Key Finder?
Every song has a “home” note that the melody keeps returning to. This is called the musical key. For example, a song in C Major will often sound bright and happy, while a song in A Minor might feel a bit darker.
If you try to blend two songs that have different, clashing home notes, the mix will sound sour and out of tune. Our tool gives you a virtual piano keyboard. You simply play notes along with the song until you find the key that sounds perfect.

How to Use Our Studio Tool
Our tool is built to be fast and simple. You do not need to download anything. Just follow these four steps:
1. Load a Track (Optional) You can paste a YouTube link directly into the tool. A video player will appear so you can listen to the song while you work.
2. Tap the Beat While the song plays, tap the blue “TAP HERE” button in time with the music. After a few taps, the tool will display the exact BPM of the track.
3. Find the Song Key Use your mouse or your computer keyboard to play the virtual piano. Try different notes until you find the one that matches the song. You can use the “+” and “-” buttons to change the octave (how high or low the pitch is). You can also change the sound wave to a Sine, Sawtooth, or Square wave to hear it more clearly over loud music.
4. Save to Your Notebook Once you find the BPM and the key, save them in the Session Notebook at the bottom of the page. You can add the song title and keep a list of all your analyzed tracks.
